Default Need help pipes are glowing on my 686

I having horrible trouble jetting my 686. I've trie 180/185 needle in the 4,5 positions pipes were glowing went up to 185/190 needle in 3 position pipes still glowing. then put 185/190 needle in the 4 position doesn't seem to run good then. Run the best with the 180/185 needle in 5 positon but the pipes glow red bad. Would going up on the pilot jet remedy this. I only have access to 27.5 for this weekend then next week I can get 25. any help would be appreciated. I'm trying to keep from melting the motor.

Not to rain on your parade, but since when doesn't a stainless pipe glow red? If it glows red for the first few minutes after start up, that's normal, if the pipe is stainless. If glows red ALL the time you better work on your jetting a little more. Ever see a YZ400/426F start up in the morning?

Those glowing red pipes make great cigarette lighters! My dad uses his to light smokes all the time.
