alright i've had my 01 raptor since this past April. I am now just starting to get some money to start modding it. but i dont know what all i should do for it becuz i live up in North Pole AK and i do alot of trail ridding but next summer im going to start racing MX. WHat should i do first to it before i race guys???

 

1. Pipe & headpipe (Sparks X6 rules!!)
2. +2+1 A arms
3. +3 rear axle
4. Elka Shocks
5. Better tires

That's just a start. Get the suspension worked out then go after the engine.

 

take your money and buy the conversion for the 02trans, your tranny is junk. GOOD LUCK

Like the others said swap out the 01 tranny for an 02 the stock 01 wont hold up to the abuse of MX.

Ok whatever you say I think you should share whatever you are smoking. Unless you have split the cases and upgraded to the 02 tranny you have the 01 inside. Yea now that i remember you also got the bike that has steel muffler bearings youshould upgrade to the ti it adds like 10hp [LMFAO]

yea ok now i cant even tell if your being serious but no i have been riden at the MX track up here for 4 or 5 months now and i have not had ne problems yet...well i was jts woundering about the blue and the B&W becuz that was sumthing i heard here on the forums so owell...got ne other useful info?

 

Yes the trannys are crap, so are the starters. Did the person you bought it from replace any of it? I think its not just weak, something about using reverse or something tears it up.

i bought it from a North Power Sports up here in Fairbanks Alaska...lol no i dont think they did nt thign to it so dont gotta worry bout that but i have not noticed ne thing wrong with the tranny

 

Like I stated before if you have the 01 Raptor you have the 01 tranny. blue, black\white color dosn`t matter. You asked for advise and you got it from some who have had Their Raptors for awhile.
I have the 01 tranny am i worried no. should i be maybe does it mean im not going to ride it anymore Hell no..
