I don't know if the bike was the fastest thing out there, because I was only there for a few hours. The goal was to shake down and check out our new engine ( 535 ), The bike set up was completely wrong for that kind of hp ( rear wheel 127 hp ). It was almost impossible to ride, it stood up in almost every gear, causing some huge handling problems. but that is easily fixed. I think if I had a 18 tooth sprocket I could have gone at least 5 mph faster, I was in 5th gear (only 5 speeds ) before 1/4 hill with the 17 tooth. I also need to change the carbs, I still had the 34 pj's from the old 494 engine on it, and it clearly needed the 38mm carbs. We put the engine together with the new prototype pipes on Thursday, did some dyno work on Friday, and went out on Saturday to see how it ran on the hill. The motor when done should be in the high 130's on hp, which should be capable of consistent 90mph passes ( time to put the front brakes back on the bike) I will be out and ready for the Thanksgiving weekend, and I know there will be allot of very fast machines waiting to kick my butt. and that's what makes this so much fun.
By the way the bike was running straight alcohol no funny fuel or NOS. Just the way I like it, engine only horsepower.

1badblaster,
I had a streetbike and personally did not find it to be near as fun as my wheelers. Sure, they are fast, but where can you ride them like you want to? Just a piece of advice, if you ever buy a bullet bike, strongly consider one of the Suzuki GSXRs. They are strong bikes and unlike my CBR 929 have better resale because that is what most of the track racers and very serious recreational riders want.
Raptor 720,
I had asked you about the Legend in December of last year. I still think that is one sweet machine.
