Quad Care
#1
Is anybody else as **** about maintaining and cleaning their quad as I am? I ride it hard and enjoy the heck out of that but also enjoy cleaning and wrenching it about as much. Except for the outrageous cost of parts. For example I just put a new chain, sprockets and slider on it. They were all original pieces, to get the chain adjusted I was gonna have to remove a link, and the teeth on the front sprocket were bent a bit. I was also starting to hear some strange popping noises when taking off, no doubt plenty of use left in them but I couldn't bring myself to pushing them further. The rear skid plate also had couple cracks in the welds so bought a new one. Riding last week a wayward rock bent one of the foot pegs and factory nerf bars. I bought some off of e-bay and can't stand the thought of possibly riding this weekend with the bent one should they not arrive in time to put them on. After every ride I also probably spend 3-4 hours the next day washing and detailing the thing. Can't stand to see it dirty. Finish everything off nice shiney coats of silicone sprays and wd-40 the engine. Every couple rides or so I'll go so far as pulling all the plastic off and getting the mud and grime out of the places you can't get to with them on. Geeezzz please someone tell me I'm not the only one.

im a clean freak too. i just washed mine for like and hour today...and it was FREEZING OUT!!!
but it was fun.
me and some friends are planning on having a atv\dirtbike\homemade vehicle show at a local high school that happens to be across the street from us, and my dad just happens to be friends with the superintendent...that way we can say that we have the shiniest, cleanest, best looking quads in the area...
