My rear shock blew out two weeks after my six month warranty expired, other than that no major problems.Make shure you oil the air filter before your first ride, mine had no oil at all from dealer.Check all bolts also mine had a shock bolt allmost come all the way off,Rear skid plate fell off down the trail.Kind of embarrasing , buddys picking up parts that fall off of a new quad.

Ive had an 03 black and red since about april or so. I did have a problem with the parking brake. For some, still unknown reason, it would stick and keep the bike from starting. After 2 trips to the dealership to fix it, they just told me not to use it. So I havent, and its been problem free since.

The only problem I have had with my Raptor is with the Department of Environmental Protection. They fined me for operating a portable food processing plant. It seems that ever since I completed some minor modifications with my 02 Raptor the bike has been transformed into some kind of beast. As I tear down the trails the bike ends up eating Kawasaki's and $hitting Honda's. After passing the DEP and having their bike consumed by this beast, they have decided to find some type of charge to hit me with and this is the only one they could think of. So, buyer beware, this bike is the one everyone is TRYING to beat. For "woods" riding where mountains and horsepower become the deciding factor, the Raptor is the bike to own. If you read all the forums, everyone compares their bike to the Raptor, everyone is trying to knock it off the top position, their only glory is to say "I beat a Raptor" (did the owner of the Raptor even know you were racing?). They very seldom mention any other bike to compare with other than the Raptor. To my amazement I never read where the owner of a Raptor say's he was beat by "whatever" bike and if he did I would always question the setup on both bikes and then the riders capabilities. So my friend, buy the Raptor, you won't be dissapointed
