I read somewhere that a tuned pipe doesn't really help a Blaster that much due to it being such a low hp. engine anyhow. I find that hard to believe. It seems that a tuned pipe on any engine would help. What's eveyones honest opinion on pipes for a Blaster, are they really worth the money, other than to say that " I have a FMF or whatever brand, on my quad"

dude!! a pipe on a blaster makes a difference like night and day! i put a fmf "fatty" and turbine core spark arrester on my supposedly "tired" 92 blaster and it woke up big time. if you want the most out of the blaster go for a K&N filter($30) and boysen reeds($20) right away. definatly check into it.

Only get a K&N if you don't ridein dusty conditions, and don't mind cleaning it alot.
I have a Dg pipe and silencer (they came on it when I bought it) I'm not sure about power, but compared to a '99 stock balster, mine is much quieter and less "crackly"
One fianl note, if it applies, they say pipes aren't recommended for beginnersbecause they have a narrower powerband, and make shifting more chronic and important.

I am riding a brand new blaster (stock Pipe),with a buddy who has a brand new blatster with tuned FMF pipe,Boysen reeds, and 36mm carb.
Kicks my but with snap, but close in top end and makes mine sound like a woosie.
He dosn't recomend the carb.

Ok, that pretty much answers my question. I think I'll order a FMF, thanks
