Default Kodiak Help!!!

If somebody out there has a manual for a 2001 Kodiak 4x4 automatic 400, please tell me how to replace the rear axle. How does the oil seal and bearing come out? And does it come out of the left side without have to split the rear end?

Thanks

I'm not sure if you got your answer yet but here goes. When I did the rear axle on my 93 I didn't have to split the rearend at all. The rear bearing were wore out so I replaced them. I had to do some pounding to get them out because there were in there for years. The axle itself was the easiest part. It came out with very little effort. Once the nut was removed it only took a couple to easy taps to come out. However be careful when putting in the new axle I'd hate to see you damage it.

Good Luck

Marc
