what does it take for a shee to beat a 125
stock?

My Banshee beat yz125's pretty easily and it has Toomey pipes/silencers, toomey jet kit, toomey 2:1 air filter, and boysen reeds. That about it. But i've seen a stock banshee with paddles beat a stock YZ125 with a paddle.

 

kewl how bout a 250

 

ive heard that it takes a shee some more major mods to beat a 250 stock. just what ive heard and tahts why im gonig with the yz250 cuz its fast, light, small, and its yamaha [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] just what ive heard though. never actully seen a drag.

 

I raced a guy with a Yz250 w/FMF pipe and silencer and rear paddle, he beat me off the start big time, but i caught up about half way and we pretty much tied, but i think he won by a little. BTW it was about a 1/4mi drag.

 

so them 250's get up and go huh? but if it was longer you prolly woulda beat him? tahts cool though. cuz im setting up a mx blaster and if it can get up and go tahts all i need [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] hey thanks for the info, just makes me wanna do it now.. 2 bad i gotta wait a year[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/img]

 

So if i bought a Banshee next year and some toomey pipes (the new t-6 are comming out) it would do fine against a 125

 

Not even going to try and do something to the blaster to keep up?

 

probably not i like my blaster a lot but eventually you go to get something bigger
you can do more to a shee then a blaster and the shee with have better brakes and suspension (not that there that great compared to some other models but they are good compared to a blaster) wouldn't my blaster get wasted by a 125 how much more would i have to do?

 

ahhh come on toomey....supe up that blaster.. ... and you wont regret it! throw in a diff engine if your concernd about speed... i love my blaster.. and would rather have it than a shee. but i need something faster (ie the yz250) i jusst love how lite they are!!!
