Default Raptor VS. Cannondale Question!

I too have drag raced a couple of Canondales that are both piped (HMF) and mapped with both the Moto and Speed. They are good running machines, granted they are very LOUD with these pipes.

When I was just piped (Yoshimura) and jetted (DYNO-Jet) and things were reasonably close but they would more times than not they would win in the drag race. But after my Trinity 686 upgrade, it was a done deal. They were looking around on my bike for a nitrous button. ha ha ............. It was a good day. Default Raptor VS. Cannondale Question!

Well if I wanted top speed I'd by a Crankenstein. If you bought a Dale for top speed or straight line performance you need to sell it. It is made to grab holeshots and win w/ awesome handling. I hope to god a 660 could beat a Dale, but it doesn't so 686 and 727's are needed along w/ cams porting and headwork. That's really sad you need that many more cc's to win in a straight line. I love my Dale and as soon as that striaght line starts getting bumps jumps and corners the 686's and 727's will soon fall further and further behind... I know this is a straight line topic but C-Dales aren't made for that. My Raptor fully piped Raptor(sold) would get smoked by my Dale in any situation. So what's the point of comparing a 686/727 to a little 432.. There isn't one. It's just like comparing a Crankenstein to a 727 Raptor.

Default Raptor VS. Cannondale Question!

RaptorRider660R- very few cannons ever show at my place. 1 comes from time to time. He was here yesterday. Cannons will shoot out of the hole. I watched him run 5 or 6 times. He had a hmf pipe and moto mapping. He would shoot out of the hole with a 2 quad lead by 60 feet. He lost the 300 foot drags to the piped jetted raptors by 1 lenght. While i am not a mx'er i would guess that starting lines to the corner are 150 to 200 feet. That is the distance that cannons excel in. It looked like you have to rev and abuse the **** out of a cannon to get it to fly. They are fast but beatable. This guy has had a lot go wrong with his cannon. Cannon fixed it under waranty. (broke shift shaft, new motor installed, battery, starter, chain guides etc.) he is a full blown mx'er so his quad get trashed harder than most. My rappy would probably fall apart if he raced it. Still i would buy my rappy over a cannon.
