Default Raptor VS. Cannondale Question!

I browse the Cannondale forum here as well as a cannondale forum on another board, and I keep hearing about moto mapped and piped cannondales smoking Raptors that have cams, high comp pistons and ported. My question is how come I never hear about these fast cannondales at 4 stroke wars or over at 14mins place in tx. Do any Raptor guys have any experience with this happening? I have only heard this from the cannondale guys never from any one here. I'm talking drag race here not on a track. It seems a little off a moto mapped and piped Dale is around 40 HP and a Cammed, Piston, Piped Jetted Rap should be around 50 or so. Can the weight diff make up that 10 or so HP. This guy was posting his moto was beating the Raptor by 5 lenths in a drag! I know rider makes a big difference but has any one here raced the cannons and what were your results?

Default Raptor VS. Cannondale Question!

I had trouble staying with a Moto 440 in drag races with the few mods I have.

Default Raptor VS. Cannondale Question!

Granted my stock swing arm kills me on starts, but a moto 440 holeshotted me every time at the local track. That thing had three quad lengths on me by 100 feet. they are high strung for a four stroke. Good quad. Note that My mods are a procircuit pipe, no lid, dynojet kit and about forty pounds removed from the stock dry weight of a 398 pound 2001 raptor.

Default Raptor VS. Cannondale Question!

I have dragged every configuration of Cannondale and none have been even close!! This my friend is the truth, I am out at all the hot spots on holiday weekends ex. Glamis, Dumont so I have raced my share. My bike is high comp.,cammed & ported. The 660 in this stage of tune is just too much for a mid 400cc machine.

Just a question but where did you find 40 lbs to take off? My bike needs a diet and people keep saying they made theirs lighter but I dont see anything that could be lighter other than replacing my heavy swingarm.

Default Raptor VS. Cannondale Question!

I know they are both great quads, I have a raptor and I had a canibal. My friend has a canibal right now and is looking to pipe it and remap and I am curious how he and I will do. I do not care if he wins or I win I will still like both quads, he just keeps sending me links of guys posting that there piped and mapped canons are smoking cammed and ported Raptors and wanted to see what people here think. No flaming no this one sucks just curiosity that is all. And no comments about what that did to the cat!

And please tell us how the heck you dumped 40 lbs!
