LOL low 11’s LOL…..Sure: were talking about reality here not fantasy world.
Actually that big well of torque that your talking about in the LS1 and similar v8 engines just causes the car to burn out uncontrollably and never hook up. This makes it useless in a drag race till later on in the race when its too late! I used to think domestic muscle v8s were the way to go also until one day I was in my friends car who has a Trans Am with the LS1 V8, full exhaust, headers, pulley under-drive system, chip, cold air intake, 100 shot of NOS, dry setup, purge kit, and short throw shifter and he got humiliated by the guy next to us in a s2000 who showed us up!!! Smoked us by a car and a half. After this my friend sold his TA and got an 91 Acura NSX, which by the way is a way better car.

Do you guy;s even ride a raptor,Not just ride it once or ride your friends,I can climb almost any hill that i want by sarting right at the bottom and just gassing it up and going,I ride at gorman and the mojave desert(Dove Springs) and anyone who knows that place will tell you there are 100's of hills to climb ,You guy's are talking about hills with lips on the top of them and those hill are just plain hard to climb on any bike because of the edge ,has nothing to do with power(will maybe a little bit) but more with skill so you can get the bike overthe lip without flipping backwards.Maybe you are trying to climb hills that are out of your capability....

Raptor03, hills here have lips at the top and some dont. One hiill imparticular, is about 100 ft high with a hump in the middle and a lip at the top with a 10 ft head start at the bottom. A piped banshee the other day was hitting it, letting off the gas at the hump to let his momentum carry him over it and then clutching it somehow and going on up the top while gaining momentum after the hump. The whole hill is steep as crap. I tried the same on my raptor, once past the hump, i tried to gain momentum but my frontend would come up everytime. i dont know what hills you climb, but these hills are UNCLIMBABLE on a stock raptor. Hills I see on all of these 4 wheeler vids, especially ones at dunes are wimpy! If anyone wants some real breathtaking hills, come here!

as long as I can straddle the ruts.... I can go up hills steeper than any 4x4

ok....I have had both Raptor and Banshee.....they both have their own unique qualities. ...I love them both for different reasons. I have ridded in many different types of terrain. In Ky with the short and very limited launch space that is all to common(Livingston, LBL, *****) I have found the Raptor to be FAR superior. REASON: More readily available torque with minimal wheelspin. On the other hand in the dunes of Michigan, Mexico and Cali you have Long Steep streched out Moutains(not Bluffs)..... I have to say the Banshee is FAR superior to the raptor REASON: high revving top endish(not a word) [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] powerband that allows some wheelspin which holds the engine in the 'sweet spot'.

I can guarantee you that a 2003 cobra will run 11s on street tires with minimal mods. Even with those mods, it'll be cheaper than your rice burning foreign car. I've got a friend with a trans am with a 100 shot of Nos and believe me that thing rips. Its runs high 12s with drag radials and exhaust alone! That car will absolutely annihalate your POS s2000. Hell, I bet that a 88 or 89 fox body mustang will beat your s2000. It sounds like your friend in the Trans Am sure as hell does not know how to drive, because I'll tell you that torquey V8 will take that s2000 without a problem. From the mods that you described that thing is capable of at least mid 12s, I bet an s2000 can't even crack 14. Bottom line is you are clearly wrong, your friend can't drive, and you probably haven't even been in a Trans Am. I know what these cars are capable of, and a Trans Am, Camaro, or Stang will beat that s2000 for a lot less $. "There is no replacement for Displacement." So tell me what the better car is now!
