Are the K&N adaptor plate and Pro-Design Plate the same dimensions (Raptor) ?

I have a Pro-Design foam filter with adaptor plate and would like to switch over to a K&N filter for the dunes and also because I'm getting tired of cleaning the foam. Will the K&N filter (shown on the link below - go to the assecories part) fit on a Pro Design adaptor plate ??

If so, does anybody know of a source where you can buy just the K&N filter without the adaptor plate.
Thanks, Eric

I am looking to do the same thing as you, FISHER1648, but I don't want to get the K&N if it won't fit... I know that both CT Racing and Duncan Racing sell the K&N Pro Flow replacement filters for a little over $60... Now I think that when I call to order mine I will ask about the compatibility first...

Heres the deal boys.
I have 2 Raptors, one with the pro design foam and one with the pro design K&N. The foam flange is a tad larger in diameter. The foam filter fits on the K&N flange loosely but once tighten will work fine. The K&N will fit on the foam flange but it is a tight fit and the width of the K&N rubber where the clamp is, is not as wide as the foam. There is a seat inside the K&N filter where it seats againts the K&N flange when installed. Get this seat all the way onto not just butted up against the foam flange and tighten the clamp and be on your way.

Or, the alternative to that. Get some type of adaptors (aluminum tubing or thin wall thickness PVC) to put onto your ruber boots and just buy K&N's to clamp-on.
