Speed shifting/Powershifting is harder on everything.

Jackal, its called an 1-5 overide tranny. They special cut the gears and remove sixth so you can sit on the wheelie bar without weight transfer. It only hard on them if you let off at the end without pulling the clutch. That can scatter the tranny. Only good for drag.

Yup, you find out where the weak link is quick. I cant count the number of T5's I went through on my Mustang.

Rockey, those T-5's are cheap aren't they? I had a friend shell 2 stock ones, 2 World class, 1 special built, and then he went with the Tremec T-56. What are you running? How is your Stang built.

keep it pinned, of course the dealer tried to tell me that after four months riding when the tranny went south, its not that hard to replace the gears, i fixed it the second time and still don't let off when i shift, and the nitrous is throttle activated.its great

I sold the Mustang to buy the DS650. It ran a best of 12.02 @ 115 with a NA 306 and iron heads. The T5Z I had in it lasted about 500 passes before 3rd gear shattered, the next Mustang will have a Tremec.

Actually, double clutching will get you mioving faster, then speed shift. I wouldnt worry about it too much on a Banshee, they can handle more than a few missed shifts, just ask my tranny!

Veloci, did you not have those wheels tight or what? I have friends that put up low six second slips (1/8 mile, approx 9-9.5 second 1/4) on off the shelf weld wheels. I am putting about 850hp to a set of eagle alloys on my 68 ford truck without problems. I have never seen cracked wheels other than circle track. Supercharger and N2O, bet that computer was confused. Where those stock heads or Iron Eagle, World Products, etc.

Sounds sharp.

By the way, there is nothing wrong with ET Streets. They are DOT legal just like the other guys Advengers, Cobras, Firehawks, etc.

Are you still into Mustangs? I have a couple of sets of small block heads collecting dust.
