raptor durability?
how well does the raptor hold up mx riding? i always hear how other machines are better mx'ers than raptors ( until u extend the A's and get new itp mx tires), but how well does the heavier bike hold up to the stresses of an mx course? im fairly new to atv/mx and it seems sometimes like my bike is really taking a pounding on landings. do raptors hold up to this well? is the hardness of the landing in my mind because im not used to it yet? (and its not like im out of control on the jumps, i mean i usually atleast land with two wheels on the ground, mostly four, sometimes one) any response is appreciated!

how do you like you LE, i dont know how well it can hold up. it isnt even that much heavier then a 400ex or shee. it is said to be one of the best jumper stock, i think mine jumps alot better then the 400ex and shee that i have riden. it can take alot more impact and land softer. is this your first atv? if you want to do hard mx riding you will have to get rid of the stock shocks up front, the back shock can handle alot more. like all other sport quads(not cann or ds) it has front shocks that are to weak for big jumps, most pros can fade stock front shocks in two laps on a mx track. if you land right it should not be a hard hit, on small jumps my rap feels like it doesnt even leave the ground. you can jump a stock rap higher and longer then 400ex z400 and shees and have a softer landing. how high are you jumping? you should try to land on you back wheels first with your front wheels 1/2 a foot or 1 foot of the ground and as soon as your back wheels hit give it some gas to take some pressure of the front. if you land on all four at the same time it will be a hard hit. if you ride mx you front shocks will die quick so plan on replacing them.
