Ward, now that is VERY true!!
Me and Bansheewarrior have always been fighting rivals - and on the sand he always seemed to prevail on the drags (winning 3 or 4 out of 5 races). Well when my tranny blew, I went with the hi comp piston, cam and some port work. No one thought that would get me to beating him on a regular basis in the sand.
Well back in Sept when we went back to Silver Lake Sand Dunes I couldn't wait to line up against B.W.
When we finally did, I beat his a$$ in the ground by at LEAST three bike lengths in 100 yds. We raced the best out of 5, and I won every one by 3 - 4 quads every time!! Just to finally shut his mouth (with embarrassment even) was sooooo rewarding. He is the biggest trash talker in our group.
THe scary part is (we are so competitive) that after that trip, he has recently torn his banshee down, bored it, ported it, and put bigger carbs on it!!!!!! We went riding last week down in Ky and he couldn't get it to run right all day. He was in the parking lot all day working on it. But when he gets it worked out, I'm affraid my "glory days" will be over!

Staying married for coming up 24 years.
The other would have been in 1971 when I weighed in at 125 pounds and on my Honda SL 100 was able to keep up with the bigger machines in the 250--350 class on the track and even pass some of the riders.
That was a good feeling being a pest to those riders thinking I wouldn't have a chance.

The first time I ever rode my Banshee and beating another a 02 SHee with Paddles, T5's and a bunch of other stuff. I had stock 22's and it was up a huge sand hill. At the top I went to turn around and he just looked at me and shook his head.
