Default Works Pro-Series Shocks

Anyone using the Works Pro-Series shocks? I am needing to buy some new shocks and am looking at these.

I want to get some that are rebound and compression adjustable and have rezzies. Is there any merit to piggyback rezzies compared to remote rezzies?

Thanks.

Thanks for the response.

The shocks are actually gonna be for my son's Banshee, although my Banshee shocks are beginning to get a little long in the tooth.

The shocks will be used for racing applications, such as mx and cross country, as well as recreational riding. My son also gets some pretty good air at the dunes. However, for TT/Flattrack racing we may have to get a secondary shock for that application or go with a modified shock mount location, since I haven't seen a shock yet that allows enough ride height adjustment to be beneficial for that type of racing, and still work good for other types of riding.

My main reason for asking about the remote rezzy was my thinking that perhaps the remote rezzy giving a slight advantage to aiding in the cooling of the shock oil, but didn't know if this indeed was the case.

Regards,

Rog

I thought the piggybacks helped out in some way, like .......... I can't remember. Somebody should know what I am talking about.

For bigger adjustability I have heard about WP super adjusters. There was an article on them in one of the rags about a year ago. If you like I can find it for you.

I have the Works pro-series w/piggyback's, one thing to remember the pro-series run a 5/8" shaft witch is larger than the remote rezzie shocks by Works. Definatly a big plus IMO for racing. These shocks work excellent for me, however I do not race but I'm sure there up to the task.

Sounds like the Works Pro-Series are the shocks I need to get.

I received an email reply from Alba that stated the Pro-Series shocks have 4 inches of thread for ride height adjustment. Can anyone confirm this for me?

Ward660R, is the article your talking about in a recent issue of Dirt Wheels? I think I recall an article regarding the pro-series shocks earlier this year.
