Default Why are Raptor main jets staggered?

I've searched for this, don't see an answer. Is it just so you don't have to buy 2 of the same size? Or is there some physical reason why one jet should be different than the other?

TIA!

Because you have 3 intakes, 2 on 1 side 1 on the other.

Ahhhh...

The carb with the larger jet has the 2 intakes? How big are the valves on these intakes? All 3 the same or is teh single one larger than the other 2?

TIA

all three valves are the same size, but according to trinityracing it flows better with a bigger middle intake valve.

I am not familiar with the intake (airbox to carb) on a raptor, but have dealt with this on other bikes. What I have seen is due to one intake track being slightly longer or shorter than the other. The length from filter to carb causes more or less turbulence at different throttle positions. This turbulence can alter the air/fuel ratio. I might be off base, but it makes sense.
