I have a lot of thought on this. With the blaster and cant remember the gearing so I think I would go up one tooth in the Rear so you dont have to worry about clearance on the case. I know that sometime clearance of the skid plate is in order as well. I guess you should tell us what size rears you are running.

Stock Blaster gearing is 13/40. The Blaster is somewhat under-geared, so with some mods such as you have, you would have no problems pulling a 14 tooth front sprocket.
We ran 14/38 on my son's Blaster for TT/Flattrack before we sold it. For recreational riding, MX racing or other types of riding, and depending on the rear tire size, we would run either 13/38 or 14/40 gearing.
The largest front sprocket you can run is a 14t without modifying the left side cover to provide some clearance.
I am not aware of any bad side to running a 14T front.
The mods we had on the Blaster's motor: Toomey B1, K&N air filter, extensively ported cylinder, Wiseco Pro-lite +0.060 piston, vito's high compression head gasket, shaved head w/ re-cut combustion chamber, V-Force reeds, 35 PWK A/S carb, carb adaptor for airbox, Pro-Design aluminum intake port matched to the reed cage, timing advanced +4 degrees, shaved & lightened flywheel and perhaps some others I've forgotten about.
We only time we ever ran a 13 tooth front was with a 38 tooth rear in conjunction with 20" rear tires. All other times we ran either 14/38 or 14/40 gearing.

I'd put a 14 tooth even on a mildly moddied Blaster. As I mentioned in my previous post, they are somewhat under geared and do benefit from taller gearing (just as 400EX's do by going to a 16t from a stock 15t front).
I've run into a lot of Blasters that have 14t fronts.
For the cost of a front sprocket, you can't go wrong.

I had a 14 tooth front sprocket on my Blaster. My only mods were a K&N and a Pro Circuit pipe. The 14 tooth made it feel alot better. I only rode my Blaster in the woods and on fire roads and it worked out great. You gain top speed and the acceleration still is great.
