Default Raptor Sprocket Size Changes -

I posted this earlier but couldnt see it in the new topics so here it is -

I am running stock sprockets and a friend of mine has a DS and changed his front sprocket to try and beat me, well it didnt work but has modded other things as well. So now he is almost catching up on me but in the long run(Sand Dragging) he catches up with me at the end. My question is, How can I get the holeshot but still have the power to over take him in the long run with sprocket size. please help me out here, we are going on a trip this Thanksgiving weekend and dont want to tell him anything.

Thanks

This is as case of trying to have your cake & eat it too!!
If you go with a bigger front sprocket you'll lose a little out of the hole but you'll gain top end
Smaller on the front will get you out of the hole quicker but yo'll lose top end.
You can't have it both ways with a sprocket change.

I know what your saying... hehehehe , but I think I can make it up by starting in 1st gear instead of second like I always do, what do you think?

In that case yea you can bump up the front sproket & gain top end.
