mudcat, sorry to hear about the problem with your headlight switch. this is the first iv"e heard of this, i ride arctic cat sleds and have burnt a switch , similiar to this on my sled. i will keep this in mind though. as for the cost of the blaster i"m not to sure, i am going to my dealer soon , i will check with him too see what the cost is and i"ll let you know. my 2 boys would be very happy to have that blaster though. they have been sharing a 1990 160e suzuki i bought about 5 years ago. i was thinking maybe in a couple years of getting a new one for them in the mean time they will share with me. thanks for the post. LOU.

I got my 450 in August, only problem I had was fuel **** screw fell out, I got new one and thread locked it. I got the plow with mine and my dealer can't get mounting kit yet I called warn and they said they are making it but dealer dosen't have a part number from supplier yet. I think that is bull sh*t. The 450 has plenty of power and is great in tight woods. I finally had to use the locker yesterday to get out of a creek bottom. I looked a other models and I narrowe down to this and 450 forman. I'm glad I got this one.

haymaker, seems to me your putting this kodiak to the test alittle bit. how does it react when it gets alittle wet?any belt slipage or hesitation? how high was the water in this creek bed? do you feel like the power to weight ratio is good? im surprised to hear you have to wait for your plow parts. i know of several other companies, are you looking specifically fron warn, or your dealer is. ive been told moose makes a good product with there own acessories. i just go to search engine GOOGLE and type atv plows and several good sites come up. it is nice to let your local dealer handle this stuff though that way theres no questions with warranty work should it need to be done. good luck and thanks for the post.

Yea I use it for trail ridind and hunting. I was out yesterday scouting and had to cross creek. It has been snowing so it was slippery. The water was up to muffler but have been throuh higher. No slippage but if I get belt wet I'll drain no big deal. The diff lock is great I had three wheels spinning and not getting much traction, just pushed diff button and all 4 were spinning and out I came. Yea I know others make the plows but will their mounts work on a warn plow? I have the plow and tubing but no mount for the 450.

haymaker, well as luck would have it, went to my dealer today to pick-up my 450 and found out that the warn winch attachment brackets are on order, suppost to arrive tomorrow. i also ordered a moose plow, and the plow attachment kit had to be ordered out of stock. not having a whole lot of luck as you can tell by now. they only deal with moose utility division products, they have the warn winches just because of the promotion with yamaha directly. they seem to think everthing will be ready before the weekend though which will probably be the first chance i get to ride anyway, with work and short amount of day light.

Interesting about the tip over. I have not experienced anything like that but only have about 35 trail miles on it.

I am happy to report that the Kodiak 450 does plow well. No, very well. We had 22" of snow in the last 20 hours. I did a quick cleaning of 14" this morning. I just got back in from a full cleanup of the 200+ feet with another 8-10" or the full 22" in unplowed spots. That diff locker is the best!

I hear Moose makes great plows. What did your setup go for?

poeny, the warn winch was 69.00 with the purchase of the machine. i ordered the plow package the 50" standard plow with acessories and mounting bracket installed came to 339.00 + tax. does that sound high? i cant believe you got all that snow already, how do you like living in the great lake region? do you also ride snowmobiles? i sold 2 arctic cats a couple of months ago. not nearly enough snow fall in this region.
