It is a snowy evening and I am cozied up by the fire with clicker in hand. Do I chose to watch a chick flick..................no I am watching USC and Notre Dame...............why you ask because I know you guys will want to know what happen so here it goes:

1st quarter action starts out pretty lame. Notre Dame has to score 2 field goals just to put points on the board. I had to switch to skating at this point because I was getting bored. I tuned back in at the 2nd quarter and watch USC finally score a touchdown. Williams (USC) had a hard time hanging on to the ball for some odd reason. Never fear though, he comes back to redeem himself with a 44 yard catch . Palmer, however, throws wide and out of bounds. The announcer must really like this Palmer guy. He keeps making excuses for his mess ups. Guess he thinks he is more than just a " pretty boy from CA". Penalities were handed over to USC like candy in the first quarter.

With 5 minutes to go in the second quarter, this is were the action begins. Notre Dame gets a flag thrown for pass interference. I don't see how, it was very uncatchable, none the less, this allows USC to score an undeserved touchdown.............but wait a freshman did not know how to count and they were called for illegal formation. This call got the touchdown called back. Palmer Carson tried to redeem the team with a rocket throw into the endzone but #1 Williams (butterfingers) could not keep hold and out it flew. A field goal was then attempted and scored.

I had to go tuck in the kids so I missed a few seconds when I came back, #22 from USC had made an interception to take it back to the Trojan 11 yard line. But it is not over yet. Palmer throws an interception into the USC endzone with 3 minutes left on the clock in the second quarter. Now I am on the end of my seat folks.

Shawn Hill from USC then gets the ball back with another interception. This is a serious game of hot potato in the end zone guys. Notre Dame gets the ball back and scores a field goal. Justin Fargas from USC then steps up to steal the show. With only 30 seconds left. However, another freshman gets a penalty for a false start and leads them back down the field. But Mike Williams proves he is worthy to wear the #1 jersey for USC and catches a touchdown pass with 5 SECONDS REMAINING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This was Palmer's 30th touchdown of the season. Just to rub it in a little the special teams for USC finally get their act together and manage to get the ball back at the kick off. The half is over and I can't believe I am going to watch the last half. Stay tuned for more details.

17/13 USC with 10 seconds left in the half. USC SCORES!!. Final was 43/13 USC with strong safety Troy Polamalu dominating and Carson Palmer in the runing for the Hiesman [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] Almost as good as the UCLA **** whooping last week [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

 

Wait a minute............don't forget the interception that was thrown in the 2nd half by.........oh that is right Palmer. The final score says it all.......it was a boring 2nd half and the least USC could have done was take the poor guy out sooner. It was quite obvious who was going to win the game. I found it interesting that there were over 87,000 people in the sold out crowd last night. How long does it take to get out of the stadium and home? Especially, for people who can not walk real fast because of an unfortunate quad accident a few weeks ago.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]
