Default Air/Fuel screw ?

This may a dumb question that I already know the answer to, but I would like some reassurance, when turning the air/fuel screw out (counter-clockwise), does it make the mixture richer or leaner?

BTW: The atv is an 02' Raptor with stock carbs.

Thanks

Kevin

richer. if the idle screw is between the slide and the head, it meters fuel. if it is between the slide and the air cleaner, it meters air. in your case , it meters fuel and turning ccw richens the idle mixture.
