Default What are the essential tools that all garages should have?

Your gonna need duplicates of most of your SAE & metric wrenches.
Same with screwdrivers,
A roll around cart is handy to put your parts on as you take them off, put a magnetic strip on to hold your tools,
A lot of shop towels, both the regular red ones & some thicker softer ones,
A parts washer,
Grinder,
Table top belt sander with a sanding disk,
Drill press with a milling vise,
air compressor,
1/2" impact, 3/8 impact, 3/8" air rachet (these are for disassembly ONLY!!), High speed air grinder (don't waste your money on cheap bits get carbide!!), air hammer, air drill,
A good steady work bench with a good vise at each end,
Bolt bins!! 1 for metric & 1 for SAE & go to a bolt store & fill them up!!! There is nothing more frustrating than digging through a pile of bolts & then finding out you don't have what you need!!
Boxes with assortments of Electrical connections, o-rings, circlips (inside & outside), Cotter pins (pieces of wire won't cut it!), ETC,
Gas & mig welder,
Angle grinder, Saws all,
1/2" & 3/8" drills,
SAE & Metric tap & dies,
18 volt drill,
Center punches,
Drill sharpener, (drills are expensive & need to be sharp to work right),
Jack & stands, NEVER GET UNDER ANYTHING EVEN A QUAD WITHOUT JACK STANDS!!!!!!
Mechanicswear gloves,
Various types of silicone,
Diffrent strengths of Loc Tite (red, blue & green at a minimum)
Teflon tape,
First aid kit,

Now I have a lot more tools than that but that would be a minimum for a good start because this list could go on forever & my finger is tired from typing!!! LOL!!
I do a lot of fabrication work & build hot rod VW engines & when you need something now it's nice to be able to make it yourself than needing to ordering it. You'd be surprised what you can fabricate with the right tools!

DON'T FORGET SAFTEY!!
Even 12 volts can burn, chemicals can burn & explode, power tools can remove body parts, heavy things can fall & break bones.
Keep your shop clean & have an uncluttered & organized work space.

Working on your toys is half the fun, just do it safe & with the right tools.

Dont forget duct tape, bondo, and epoxy. Thats the rice boy tool kit.
Redneck tool kit is a pocket knife, hammer, 1 screwdriver, monkey wrench, and a beer.

Also if you buy a Tesla Coil you can test to find out where shorts in wires are. Not to mention fry electrical stuff, bugs, your friends, attach it to door handles when people knock then say come on in, etc.... etc.... Makes a nice 1 1/2 inch long arc that cant kill you, only burn you with the arc (ie, if you hold onto it nothing happens)
