The great craftsmanship that is Honda
We have been trying to put a new head gasket on bandits 440ex for a while now..... first we found out that you have to remove the cam first so we bought a manual. Then the instructions said to drain the oil so we did that and replaced the filter but one of the screws that holds the filter cover on broke off inside the engine. Now we have to get a new gasket for the clutch cover so we can remove that and get the broken bolt out. They gayest part IMO is the fact that the head bolts are under the cam. We were originaly just going to retorque them but since were having to go through all this trouble we figured wed go ahead and replace the gasket. I am getting very tired of working on this honda crap, everything is super complicated/different than other engines and expensive to boot. Did I mention they want you to replace every gasket, O ring, and seal you come across? Takes you a good hour just to get to the head bolts. They were not thinking about taking it apart or maintanence when they built this thing.

When I open my warrior engine its just seeing all the normal stuff you expect to see, I crack open the honda and I think.... why they heck did they do that... or why the heck does it need that..... or just plain old wtf.... The biggest thing I didnt like is putting the head bolts under the camshaft. Also like any engine.. stuff is constantly breaking while your trying to fix other stuff, I expected more from honda.
