I've only got about 80 miles on it and it has done since mile one. When I ride for awhile and then shut it off it tends to burp out the exhaust. I'm not through with the break in period yet but I just wanted to know if any of you might know what it might be?

 

Mine does the same thing bud. Even after I rejetted it, it still does it, but has more of a poofy sound....its a real attention getter hehe. Im at 800 miles on mine now and it runs just fine. My bud also has a 03 Griz and yep, his does it also.

 

My Raptor does the same thing. I was told it is the valves that they need to be adjusted that what I have heard...I dont even have a mile on my grizz yet so I can't say.

 

Yeah, I heard the same thing, but I check my valves regularly. Even after adjusting....*koom poof*

 

does the same thing with mine. since sice mile 1 (1400 miles ago) had this problem. my 01 quadrunner 500 did the same thing, i adjusted the idle screw on it and it didn't do it any more. didn't get a chance to try it on my grizz, i always forget to try it.

I have a 03 Grizz, and it does it as well. It's not all that loud however. Just a little whispy burp sound after engine termination [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]
I hope the day doesn't come along where it does a backfire ala "Uncle Buck's" car in that movie....that was something [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/img] lol.
I have about 140 kms on mine so far. Still in the break-in process.
