I think that is what's wrong ,could i use the dyno jets with no lid..I think they might be mixed because the dynojet kit dident have a 155 jet so he had to get it from makuni, but i think he did install the rest of the dynojet items ...If he did then in am going to go 148/150 and no lid....there's a hose that connects to the snorkel ,and wheres does the snorkel go when i remove the airbox lid..Thanks for the help..P.s would my bike run that long before doing what it did if the jetting is off...

Id take the old plug out,put a new plug in and make the sure the KN is clean, dont just assume, I clean it every third ride. Also take the lid off and see how that runs. Sounds like its a little rich.
I always carry a few extra plugs in my tool box. A backup KN is also a good idea if going to the dunes, etc. Luckily I had my wifes hair dryer or I would have been down a day letting my firter dry out after the wash. ( amajor faux pas, ALWAYS do this crap at home before a trip, along with the oil and filter)

LOL, is that how your suppose to do it? I seem to always be cleaning my filters in the desert. On the kids quads anyway.
Remove the lid, go to a auto parts store and buy a breather hose type filter, they are about 6-8 bucks. Put it on the end of the hose that connects to the snorkel. Remove the snorkel all the way out along with the lid.
You need to verify that you have all Dynojets installed, if he bought a mikuni 155 to go along with your dyno jet 150 then he made a mistake. You can buy more dynojets from the dyno jet website at $2.50 each.
We've had a gradual change in weather temps here from the beggining of your first ride till now. What was ok then is not ok now, especialy if the jets are mixed and matched.
Verify your jets, your Raptor will run properly with no lid and Dynojet mains 148/150. Turn your fuel air screws out 3 turns each, needle clips 4th groove on each carb. Put in anew plug after all this and ride and do a plug check to check the jetting, you'll probably be pretty good at the 148/150 dynojets.

a 155 dynojet and a 155mikuni are not the same, the dynojet155 is probably equal to about a 165 or 170 mikuni. If you know how they correspond there is no problem running dynojet mains with mikuni needles and springs.
But then again your not having topend problems anyway. you need to focus on the needle and springs
edit: im a slow typer... beg my pardon

Yeah, you.
Doing a jet change is a piece of cake. Save your money, do it yourself. If you don't have a manual yet get yerself one. Its about $50.00
I was a bit nervous, intimidated when I bought my pipe and installed it and changed the jets. It turned out to be a breeze. The manual is only nessessary to see the order of the parts on the needle and for locating the main jets if your not familiar with it.
You'll need to remove the front fender and gas tank to do this.
I will be more than willing to help you, but, I live in Fontana, I'm not sure where you lived but, It was no where near here.

I wouldn't worry about trying to mix and match, you've got your DJ kit right? Put in the 148 in the left carb and the 150 in the right carb as you are sitting on the quad.
Just put duct tape over the holes in your air box if you want.
