Can the parking brake on a Wolverine be set up to hold tight and how do you do it? Right now, on my '00 Wolverine, if you lock in the parking brake the bike will still move.

I have had my brake adjusted 3 times and the service man told me that it would not work after I rode it a couple of times. Some one else may be able to help you but from what I hear it want last very long before you have to adjust it again.

LOL this is the ONLY problem I have ever really seen on a Wolverine. Mine does it too. After like a couple uses the bike will just roll freely. I asked a friend. (a race mechanic) Which was who I had adjust it the first time. He said if he was me he'd just take the stupid thing off to shed some weight and since it dont work it aint hurting anything. I am thinking about doing just that......Whats the use of having it there if it dont work right? You have to re-adjust it like everytime you use it! I say take the cable, and lever off! Thats what im gonna do anyways.

Besides adjusting it, is there any way to make it work right?

[blue]I know this sounds pretty ignorant, but I find that most times I set the darn thing, I take off riding and forget to release it.:O While riding, I'm thinking, this dang thing doesn't feel very peppy only to realize that I forgot to disengage it. I remember the first time I did it was when I was pulling a little 50# kid. What a relief to find that the brake was still set.
You can adjust it with the finger screw, similar to your bicycle brakes. That adjustment is pretty fine and quickly is used up at which time you can adjust the rear caliper to regain you micro adjustments. Don't pay someone to do it, just take a few minutes and adjust them yourself. Very straight forward to do and I believe it probably tells you how in your owners manual.[/blue]

That's one thing you can't do with mine...ride with the parking brake on. There must be some kind of switch on it because if the brake is on the motor sputters and won't hardly run. Anyway, what makes the brake get out of adjusment so fast?
