I should be receiving my k&n , dyno kit and a supertrapp for my grizzly. I was wondering what would be a good number of disks for power without needing ear plugs? What do you think about putting something like slick 50 into the case?
Thanks,

Do not even get me started on the extras.....

Didn't the Federal Government sue Slick 50 over the fact that PTFE does no good and has no place in the crankcase of an automobile?

Regarding Disks, I have read some other posts where they generally say they run all 12 disks, However I would think that could be a bit loud.
Experiment.

Regarding the slick50. I have no idea. I love to use duralube in my cars but I am nervouis about putting something like that into a quad because of the clutchs. Might cause them to slip like crazy. Let me know what you find out.

It will not effect the clutch in a grizzly because it is not in the case like it is in my Warrior and Banshee.

thor was right about the gov. the additive sinks to the bottom of oil pan then restricts or clogs the oil pump causing more harm then good.

Actualy they sued them for many reasons and false claims. BUT what you probubly dident hear about was that Slick50 was able to prove all the claims they made but 1. The 1 claim they made that they couldent prove was increased gas milage. So pick up a bottle of Slick50 and read all the claims they make they are all true and PROVEN true.(uncle sam forced them to prove it) Slick50 can even prove increased gas milage but not to the extent that the government wanted there is WAY to many variables in the way that people care for their cars. NO i dont work for slick 50 BUT i am in the oil industry. I will tell you not to use a whole 1 qt bottle in your quad use about 1/4 a qt the oil they blend with is just a 10w30 carier oil it dosent have all the additives you need to protect your motor it is designed to be mixed with 4 qts of premium oil. And the griz has a dry clutch so you can use just about any oil you want.
I would recomend a full synthetic it will make the grizz run cooler and if you overheat it you will have a much lower chance of damaging your motor because synthetics are way more stable at high temps. I hate to admit it but i use Penzoil in my quad now (i always hated penzoil) they have a new synthetic out with a additive they call "penzane" and it is REALLY good stuff. There is alot of info on their website about it under aerospace i think ?? www.penzoil.com

I changed the oil in my perfectly running car one day and added slick 50. The next day i had a valve tap. Drained the oil and put in fresh oil. Valve tap stopped. Ill never use it again. Just use mobil 1 synthetic.
