Anyone know if everything has to be swapped when you do this including the main axle? I have the (powroll) parts list but hoping some of the 01 tranny was durable and I wouldn't have to buy it all.

 

I have been looking too and you have to buy everything as I have seen. IF it actually broke allready you may need a few more parts but you wont know until you dig into it.

Mine broke, also finding gears is gonna be a pain in the **** since alot of people that are running 01 gears still are thinking about upgrading before it goes.

Alba has all the parts in stock to do the swap. They say they try and keep 3 sets in stock at all times. What does that tell you YAMAHA?

They had everything for mine except a couple of the other parts that were damged when the tranny went. Those came in a couple days after they had it apart.

Since your doing the work yourself you won't get hosed by their labor charge. So if you have a hard time finding parts from local dealers try ALba hopefuly they won't have to fix anymore trannys before you need your parts.
