Man i missed a lot today. I go to work(for a change) and come home to find all this. It looks to me the KING wants us to pay for his motor work in his quad (1200 for ATV CONNECTION to be title sponsor) I know others have paid 100 dollars to have there name on a T-Shirt. There were talks of DVD's and who knows what else. Where was this money GOING??? I have never heard the CHARITY before today. (kings charity 727??)

There has been a lot of heated discussions on the forums about FSW's that i am beginning to wonder if the event can go smoothly without incidents.


I went to Glamis at Thanksgiving to check it out. Glamis is a killer place for sure but i left with a few questions,

1. There was talk of 4 whoops at olds hill to get thru
I COUNTED 12
2. At Thanksgiving the BLM shut down the hill before a Banshee was declared a winner???
3. What i saw at olds hill was not for a family with kids, although i did like the scenery


After thinking on this for a few minutes there is no guarentee that the BLM will let this event happen 100 percent??? I would hate to drive 1000 plus miles and the thing get cancelled. When this event is done all it really amounts to is KING for the day. At thanksgiving they were still claiming multiple winners. I would be surprised if more than 75 people participate in the event. So what was going to happen to the money before the 2 threads today??

Count me out!


By the way- Without ATVCONNECTION there would be no Four Stroke Wars, trailerpark, compound or the USR.

It wouldn't matter to me if I go and it gets cancelled, so what. Your still there with all these people that you have been wanting to meet, and all share a common intrest. I think I might be able to find soemthing to do while I was there. Its going to be fun NO MATTER the out come of the drags.

Please have pictures of the insides of a Raptor tranny. Maybe step by step pictures of dissassembly and reassembly. Tools, part#s for all items, Gaskets, etc not just the regular swap. I know that will be a lot of work to put together but, You have no Idea how many people you'll help out and save money for that might not try it othewrwise, maybe you do. Either way thanks for your efforts.

I don't think he is, This type of thing costs money. I wouldn't want to foot the bill alone, even if I could. Any extra money goes to a charity, he said so in another thread. Do what you want. I'm looking forward to it. The whoops don't bother me, 4 or 12 of them. I want to see the crowds which will be far less that Turkey day. Winds etc and less people between Nerw years and 4 stroke wars will smooth over some of the whoops. Its an event, large or small is no concern. If all you were going to do was ride the hill a few times to see if you could win then it may not be worth going to you. I doubt I'll be anywhere near olds until Sunday morning for the event. The rest of the time I'll be riding the dunes enjoying myself. Thats worth it to me just for that.
