If the insulator and the ground electrode are both brown, I'd say the main jetting is about right. If you're using the "jet kit", the stumble may be the jet needle position or the pilot jet, depending on the throttle position. There is a certain amount of over lap between the two jets, which is idle to 1/4 throttle on the pilot & 1/4 to 3/4 throttle on the needle. The problem with jet kits is that usually the user changes several jets at once, making it difficult to diagnose a problem.
If your only air flow improvement is the Pro Design filter, you shouldn't need to rejet in the first place.
My opinion? Dump the jet kit & return to stock Mikuni jetting, i.e, 140/145 and restore the stock needle to the nominal position of three. Then do your test ride to read the (new, unused) plug for color.

I agree with hotshoe. You need to add more details, any mods to the lid or airbox, exhaust. Does it only happen in corners but is fine on straihgts, that could be float level. And keep your valves adjusted, tight intakes can cause some of the same symptoms, and burn valves in the process.

If it is back firing on decel with the throttle closed. Your idle circuit is too lean. Try going out on your furl mixture screws. If you get to 4 turns out and it still pops you need larger pilots and then start back at 1.5 turns out.
