TOOMEY NEW RADIATOR
#2
I bought their rad a little while ago, but haven't installed it yet. Probably do that this weekend.
It looks very well made, and if it works as good as they say, piston life should be quite a bit longer.

What's the point??? I don't have an overheating problem with the stock radiator, so why change it???
I could understand getting one if I either trashed the stocker or had major boil-over probs, but I don't. AND I LIVE IN PHOENIX!!!!!
I just don't get it.

My pistons on my Banshee where shot after only about 40 hrs. on them. This wasn't to long after the harescramble race I was in. The Banshee has always been known to run hot, you hear about it all the time. And once you start adding engine mods to it, it just compounds the problem.

i actually mounted a temp gauge on my banshee to see how hot it gets.(see it in the mods section of my web page) Anyway, it seemed that my overheating problem was helped out tremendously just by installing a cool head. the thought of it running even cooler sounds nice to me, but the price is really steep for what you actually get. Does anyone know how much more coolant it holds. that also means more weight!!!

It is 40mm thick uses a single core design and provides a massive increase in surface cooling area.
There is so much cooling area they even claim that you might have to tape some of it over in the winter.
