axel and swingarm removal
#1
i have an x33 durablue axel which i didnt put on and i want to take it off to get my swingarm powdercoated.do i need a pipe wrench or what size of wrench to turn that big axel nut.
after you gat the nut off of the swingarm bolt how do you get the bolt out of the frame?just knock it through with a hammer,or is there a special tool involved?

Use a large pipe wrench to back off the axle nut while standing on the rear brake pedal to hold the axle steadfast. When you take the swing arm pivot nut off, squirt a large amount of wd40 in the hole and around the pivot bolts route through the case and frame. Gently tap it with a punch and hammer(careful not to booger the threads) until the end of the bolt is sticking an inch out away from the frame on the sprocket side. take a claw hammer using the claw, sharply pull on the bolt at different locations and it should slide out pretty easy. Just remember to put jack stands under your frame and one jack stand under your axle housing to just take the tension off of the rear shock. Makes the pivot bolt slide out alot easier.
