Raptor airbox/battery box combo
I saw a modified raptor in a magazine a while back that had an aluminum airbox/battery box combo that allows you to remove the rear fenders without taking out the battery and wiring. Does anyone know if this is commercially available or just a custom made piece? Who makes it? Thanks!

Ok, I found the original article. It was in the September ATV Action mag. An article on a 727Raptor built by Mickey Dunlap of FST. The article says that the box is made by Pingry, but I've never seen it listed in any catalogs. If I do need a new subframe, why? What's the difference between the stock and aftermarket subframes? Do many people use aftermarket subframes? Thanks for any info you can give!

I use a Lonestar chromoly subframe because I flipped my quad and bent the aluminum one. It was a freak accident. Girlfriend was riding in front of me and kicked up a piece of wood shaped like a "Y". Damn if the top portion of the "Y" didn't land and get caught on the a-arm. The lower part of the "Y" stuck in the ground and the quad flipped straight over. I remember thinking that this is going to hurt and I hope I can walk after it lands on my back. Truth is that it didn't hurt me at all but did a number on the quad.
I don't see any advantage to having a chromoly one versus the aluminum one. It might be stronger but then again it weighs a little more too.
