Hey RapRacer. Although Ive never been there (yet) I know the DNR only really kills people on spark arrestors. Ive heard that if you are 105dB or over they bust u, anything under is ok. Its not even open this time of year either, so its hard to ride it regularly. Im pretty sure I know the guy with one of the fastest banshees in michigan. His name is Joe Plochel, he has a 440cc Alcohol Shee running jet-ski pistons, CPI drag pipes and lots of other stuff. He is a retired Banshee Ice Racer, so he knows his sh*t. He told me, when I bought his other Banshee from him, that his Banshee was king of the hill numerous times and he has only got beaten 1 time. If you are ever interested in riding some time, drop me a email and we can hook up. Freerdr2001@aol.com

RaptorRacer1,
Your pipe is a good start, it has the S/A already in it. I too have the Yosh pipe and a Trinity 686 upgrade. I haven't had any problems with the DNR & I was even there over Labor Day Weekend. My Raptor was louder after upping my compression and the porting work, but I still did'nt have any problems. My wife and I go 3 to 4 times a year.
Keep your pipe, get a J.E. High Comp. Piston, Race Cam, Valve Springs, Porting then rejet and your ready to ROCK!!!

Sweet. Thanks guys. The first time I went there I was scared of driving all that way and not being able to get in (for being too loud) so I put my stock exhaust back on. I could still beat all the Honda's and stock DS650's and a few Banshees in drags in the wet sand by the beach. I spent a week there, and by the end I was flying off comp hill. I will definitely be back alot more next summer. It was awesome. I can't even imagine what the dunes in the west must be like. Maybe I should sell my house and camaro and buy a Trinity engine and move to the west coast. But that's the beer talking, and tomorrow I will wake up and put on my suit and tie and go to work like a good little boy.
