How fast is a Wolverine ?
#5
Im thinking its just overall faster, when mine was stock i was slightly faster on top speed than a blaster, not alot at all though, just barley. That could differ from bike to bike too, but i read somewhere that a blaster smokes a trailblazer in some mag. Ive also read somwhere on hear that a wolverine was faster and i figured if anything it had top speed on the trailblazer and i figure with a good rider it could out accelerate it. just my thoughts

My buddies' 99 wolv with a supertrapp, jetted, bored to the max and a proflow intake was faster than my stock '01 500 4x4 scrambler. He is 50lbs lighter than me and his bike was faster in acceleration and top end after he modded his out. I think it was in the 65mph+ range. He was running a little bigger tires though with no racks at the time so it was lighter and geared a little different than stock. You should be in the 50mph+ area though if it is stock and running good.

Unless you run huge tires, you won't see 65 + on a Wolverine,it is shaft driven, so the only way to raise the top end is bigger tires. My mods are pretty mild, and the Sur Tracs are not real tall, my GPS has given me 57 mph on flat gravel road.

Stock Wolverines are supposed to do 58. I haven't clocked mine exactlt. look at it this way. if your getting a wolverine how often do you plan on drag racing. In the woods it's agile and there isn't much that can dust it if you know how to ride. I got myself a FMF Megamax it helped out with the torque, the only shortcoming of the wolverine is it's high gearing sometimes leaves it a little short on the low end. But I don't do serious mudding usually,
