Default Clanking Raptor????

When I press the start button on my raptor and the motor turns over a few times but does not start( like when it is cold)sometimes I hear a clank sound when I let off the button. The starter doesn't spin free like there is something wrong and it always starts. Anyone have a similar clank?I just want to be sure everything is ok.

Thanks,
J. Prentice

Default Clanking Raptor????

My Raptor sometimes does the same thing, I'm pretty sure it is when you turn the bike off the engine could be on the compression stroke and there is not enough momentem for the crank to go all the way through compression stroke. So then the engine rotates in reverse and caughtes the starter gear in reverse rotation, thats is where the clanking noise is coming from. I have inspected mine all the through and found not damaged.
As far as not starting it could be that da&%# choke not closing all the way, I purchased a stroger spring to take care of that problem.
