Default One way Bearing Problem

I have started noticeing a clanking in my motor when I start my Raptor (2002) . I have researched some of the previous posts and believe I might be starting to have problems with my one way bearing behind the fly wheel. I contacted my Dealer and they said that they have not heared of any problems like this but would be glad to check it out.It is not under warrenty so I am paying the bill. The dealer said that if that was what it was they would contact Yamaha and see if they would pay for it .If not the I would have to pay or fix it myself.
If anyone has had this problem and fixed it themselves , how hard of a job is it? Or if anyone has gotten Yamaha to pay for all or part of the repair, I would like any information I can get. Also , how can I be sure that is the problem?

Thanks,
J. Prentice
