Default carb. cleaner

Has anyone added the carb cleaner to there gas with any results. Mine has been sitting for quite some time and was thinking of adding some SeaFoam to the gas to help clear up some idling problems without having to remove the carb and do a full cleaning. If anyone has used any SeaFoam or other cleaner with results please let me know.

one other note this is on my 2 stroke blaster motor and I dont want to harm anything internally. I wasnt for sure what was safe to use with carbon fiber reeds

I don't think this proceedure is a great idea on a four stroke and I think its a plain bad idea for your 2 stroke...I think pulling the carb and removing the float bowls is the best way to get it ready for proper running....sorry I don't have an easy solution.

i wouldn't try that. i think you would be better off to just remove the carb and clean it that way. my .02

I have ran PJ1's Octane booster as a carb cleaner in 4-strokes but haven't tried it in a 2-stroke. I wouldn't think the PJ1 would hurt nothing though. Not sure about seafoam. The make a great additive for hydraulic fluid though, it'll remove all the water and reduce foaming.
