I was just wondering how noisy your top end is. My engine isint broken in yet, only been run for 5 minutes at idle so far but its has a noisy top end. Sounds like the valves are way out of spec or something but we just adjusted them before we cranked it. Then again it could be my new forged piston rattling around since its cold outside and the engine was cold.

I have noticed a little more 'tap' since I put in the bigger cam and valve springs. I have been running this since last spring, so far no problems, must be the result of running the stiffer aftermarket springs and taller cam.

Im runnin a pretty steep cam and have the titanum springs. Its pretty noisy to me. Does it get any better when the cam is broken in? Maybe its just because I put my old stocker pipe back on and its so quite I can hear it too good.

My warrior is really noisy with the biggest cam and the 12:1, I can tell the difference between noisy and out of spec but not from here.

450 is biggest right? mine is prolly just a touch more towards mid range, but then again it could be a 450. I just know the builder described it as mid-top and didnt ever say what the grind number was. The sucker idles better than it ever has. Idles perfect and low, and makes a puff of air you can feel standing 5 feet behind it at idle. Thats with the stock muffler and no spark arrestor. Might just leave it on for massive torque even though it weighs a ton.

.450" is the biggest without rocker mods as far as I know, thats what I have. Mine is a top end cam and I will tell you it has nothing down low but rocks on top end. I added the 12:1 and still have very little bottom end power. Mine idles like a cammed up v8... real tractor pull sounding.

Hey, on your porting did it look like a good bit more material could have come out of the exhaust side? Anywho, I think I can live with that I have, just want to get my carb bored out.
