I was thinking of putting in an 11:1 but I'm skeerd. Between the rod and the oneway bearing for the starter. I would like to know too who has had higher comp. piston for more than 6 months with stock rod?

 

Are the stock rods really that bad? I am just wondering because I have never been around built raptors. Do they bend, break, or what?

 

Jraptor- A lot of guys run 12-1 with nos around here on the stock rod. Do i??

 

The original Powroll 770 ran the stock rod for quite a few months when it was still in the R@d stages with no problems. So you shall be fine with the 12:1

 

jraptor- My stock rod failed with just 11:1 piston and Stage 1 Hot Cam!! If I were you I'd invest a few extra bucks and get a Carrillo rod. Xtreme- Why did the rod fail??? What did it look like when you took it apart??
