run 32:1, as far as the jetting...???? what altitude are you at. I run a 9000 ft above sea level, so i probably can't help you out there..

I run 40:1 Yamalube 2r and 50:1 Belray MC1. I think you running rich is just the extra oil in your gas. I broke mine in at 32:1 and haven't had any problems. I have never fouled any plugs. I have ridden at Glamis when it was like 105 degrees with my oil at 40:1. If you call up Alba Yamaha and talk to them about oil they will probably tell you 32 or 40 to one. If you think you'll be running too lean then run 32:1.

when I ran Yamalube I mixed it 32:1 (1 small bottle to 4 gals of 97 octane). Some guys say that if you run say a 40:1 or 50:1 mix your motor will act like its rich but actually the mix is lean on the oil side. most of the time you need to change jetting when you change things like air filters and exhaust. Check your plugs after about 10 15 mins of riding the electrode should be a cardboard color. light shades mean lean darker shade means rich.

I run fmf pipes silencers, boost bottle, Vforce reed cages and reeds. stock air box cover with a uni filter. I 'm running a 260 main jet.

The guy told me to mix 12 onces to 5 gallons of gas ??
It has fmf's and he said it was rejetted. It is really touchy starting in the morning. Didnt foul any plugs yet but i was wandering if that was a good mixture ??
I have no clue what the 32 means and the :1 means ??

A quick explanation of the ratios...the 32 to 1, or 32:1, means 32 parts fuel for one part oil. So for example....32 ounces of gasoline, one ounce of oil, equals 32:1.

I highly reccommend going to any bike shop around and asking for a RatioRite. It lists the different ratios for the amount of oil to add to specific amounts of gasoline. It lists ratios and ounces. Each brand oil differs so use the label.

I've also made it a rule to always add the oil to the can before filling it up, so as to not to forget to add oil, and it also helps mix it up better. I also always shake my can a few times before fueling to ensure that the oil is mixed, I'll also rock back and forth on my foot pegs a few times if my ride has been sitting for awhile, again to ensure that the oil is mixed.

Buy a premium brand of oil and stick with it. Find out what the other guy was running and you may want to continue running it on that. Don't switch back and forth between oils as that may cause problems. Remember that oil is cheap, rebuilds aren't, don't skimp....

If anyone is confused about the ratios, I recomend buying a ratio-rite cup...Ask your dealer for one.. It makes mixing easy!!!
