Default do i need a piston

in getting a stage 2 cam for more top end,do i really need a higher compression piston if all i do is race shorttrack,i dont believe i need to get to 5th gear faster,but i do need more speed out of my top end.

Those bigger cams bleed cylinder pressure off (valve overlap). Hence the need for more compression at lower RPM's to compensate. Yes, you need more compression to make the cam work properly.

Whitebread you are running a standard bore 660 aren't you. If you are contact 14mins for a 11:1 JE piston, I think he has some in stock.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]
