22"s on raptor??
Gearing is all preference, put the tires on and check performance, you will lose a little power on the bottom end. I personal like a higher gear ratio. I have the stock tires and went to a 14 tooth front sproket after addind pipe, K&N and jetting , rode this weekend with the 14 tooth and it right were it needs to be and I gained some top end.

22"s on raptor??
I am also researching a rear tire upgrade for my Raptor. I have read all the old posts on tire choices, and sizes, but still have a couple questions that some of you may have experience with.
I already have the 12 tooth front sprocket, and the gearing is just right for some of the tight trail riding I do ( where we use mainly 1st & 2nd). I would like the extra ground clearance of the 22" tires, but don't want to give up my lower gearing as a result.
1) Will it really be that noticeable?
2) There are two sizes: 22x11x9 & 22x11x10. Would the 10" rim make the tire less tall?
3) I have read old posts about variation in actual tire height ( as a rated 22 or 20") as they relate to manufacture.
How do the Maxxis Razors stack up? These are my choice so far.
4) Should I consider more offset than factory wheel to create a wider rear track width?
And last, but not least, I plan to flip my rear linkage as outlined in other posts. Is this still considered a "good" mod for someone who never jumps his quad?
Thanks....
