I've gotten into a polishing frenzy. I've been useing mothers alluminum polish and never dull on a couple of things llike my brake lever, my dg bar, and dg nerf bars, and i've been very pleased with the results. My big question is can this be done to the raptors engine, case covers, jug, and head ? If so.... how ? I haven't been able to get the mothers to shine a small place on the right case cover where some paint has peeled off, any one else had any luck ?

 

Yeah, you can get it to be polished, but your going to need more then a rubbing cloth. You'll need a bend grinder with polishing rouge and a small drill or dremel with a buffing wheel. Something along those lines. You need to be able to get the material hot enough to take the material off. Best bet is to take it to a polisher because you'll never get it done with a rag and compound

 

Yes..many parts on the raptor can be polished. Here are a few examples. Let me know if you want to see my case covers etc...

Some parts take a long time..like th eswingarm..other dont take long at all..like the side cases. You must have time and patience[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

Mini...I wish they were all aftermarket...then I wouldnt have had to polish them..LOL

Looks like you did a fine job with those. I'd really like to see a picture of the side case covers polished, if you did them yourself could you please guide me in the right direction ?
