Default stronger tierods and tierod ends.

with the new racing season coming up, i was wondering what everyone does to strengthen the weak tierod area of the raptor. last year i bought 4 ends and several rods.this area is a major concern when you bend a tierod going through some whoops at high speed. cost me a race twice w/ bent tierods. any help would be great.

Ive been using the Ricky Stator (modified Honda) tie rods and ends and have had no trouble - MUCH stronger than stock. I originally ordered the Alba heim set-up (cheaper price $135 VS. $199) but didnt really like the fact that there was no taper on the shaft that matched the taper in the spindle. I suppose you could drill out the spindle but I returned them and went with RS.

Alba's tie-rods bolted right up on my Rappy and I haven't had a problem with em at all

The main difference (besides cost) is that the ones from alba are unsealed heim joints, while the Ricky Stator ones are sealed ball joints. I JUST got the alba style (made by American Star) and haven't ridden with them much yet, but I really don't think they will hold up at all under muddy/wet riding conditions. Does anyone have suggestions on how to keep them lubed through a 2 hour GNCC race? Or a 6 hour muddy trail ride? Thanks!
