blaster, reed valve or rad valve

A late model YZ125 reed cage! It takes a lot of modifications though. The RAD valve is a reed vavle that is manufactured by Boyesen. I have a RAD valve in my polaris and it works great. You can use the FMF RAM valve, Boyesen's RAD valve, V-force reed cage, other aftermarket, or even modify your stocker. My banshees have modified stock cages that flow with the best aftermarket.

you don't need a reed valve really until you do massive mods that require more air. it doesn't really make a $120 difference. you might think you feel a gain but it's probably just in ya head it adds approximately 2hp. i recommend spending your money on a vito's power piston around the same price actually cheaper if i'm not mistaken. hope i helped.

I agree with what Gyger had to say: I also put Rad Valve with Boysean carbon fiber reeds and I didn't
really notice a any difference at all. I was very disapointed in the money I spent for no gain. Actualy the only difference it made was that the quad is harder to start now.
What about adding a reed spacer with the Rad Valve with Boysean carbon fiber reeds? Would it help? If so what size should I get?

A guy that worked at FTZ built a stroker blaster and put a yz125 cage in it. It was 200 class legal, but he ran in 250 class and won numerous times. He said it had the response and pull of a built banshee. It took some major porting, welding, and other fabrication. It really isn't worth the time and money for an everyday rider though.
