Default Crazy Raptor Clutch

Weird thing happened to my Raptor a couple of weekends ago.
We were dune'n along and found a sweet jump.....kind of a step up dune. Anyway I came up short one time cased it and got kinda stuck.
I was clutch'n the crap out of it to rock my way loose. All of the sudden my clutch just kinda gave out. The lever got real spongy and it wouldn't start in gear with the clutch pulled in.
I checked my cables and all that everything was good. Sat around for about ten minutes to let things cool down and after that everything was fine....clutch worked good as new!
Anybody else experience this or know what caused it?

Thanks Shane

Your clutch got WAY too hot and it was slipping badly. If you keep that up, you'll need a new clutch real soon

Thanks for the replys!
Whats the deal with the clutches? I've did the same thing to several of my bikes over the years and never experienced any thing like that!

Glad you posted your experience, I wondered if mine was acting funny because I use synthetic. Thanks!

Some say the springs on the stock Raptor clutch are not "heavy duty" enough, they don't apply enough pressure to the cluctch pack, which allows it to slip and heat up quickly. A simple set of heavy-duty springs, or the heavy-duty GYTR clutch kit may solve that for you.

I would definitely recommend the GYT-R clutch kit. It works great...we've been running them in a bunch of buiult motors with no problems to date.
