What is the best aftermarket air filter to put on a Raptor "for the money" I hate having to buy the K&N cleaner and special oil but i will if its worth it???
Where is the cheapest place to buy a dynojet kit from??

Me and raptor03 are using the GYT-R jet kits and have had very good results. I'm using the GYT-R adapter with foam filter and he is using the pro design with foam. I think the foam filters dirt and dust better IMO. We both have Yoshi Comp. full exhausts and no airbox lid. He dyno'ed at FSW at 47 hp.
GYT-R jet kit under $60 at yamaha
GYT-R adapter and foam filter I paid about $80 at the dealer but they were having a 20% off sale
pro design w/ foam I've seen them for $85 can't remember where

How much do you get in the GYT-R jet kit??
Why didn't you go with the GYT-R exhaust Is the yoshi that much better,????
I wish i had a copy of of the dirt wheels review on that GYT-R exhaust anyone seen it online anywhere?

jet kit comes with:
25 pilot jets
needles
145 thru 165 mains
The fit, finich and the quality off the yosh is top notch and is'nt obnoxiously loud and can be made quieter with the TEC option. Performance is very close to the top pipes, And you can use the stock heat sheilds.
The GYT-R has none of these qualities exept for maybe performance.
The only other pipe I was considering was the MBRP.

I am giving serious consideration to the full exhaust but had great results with just the Yoshi silencer on my 01.
So your running a full exhaust with pro flow kit any other air box mods??
I am at 1200 ft what are your carbs set at???????
I have heard good things about the dyno jet kit are there advantages to the GYTR???

If you don't plan on modding your engine (cam and piston) the slip on would be fine.

No lid on airbox.

Raptor03 is jetted at 160/165 mine is 167/172 and is probably on the rich side but will leave it there till I dyno it in a couple of weeks.

I think the GYT-R kit works better when running without a lid and jets are easier to get and have a wider selection (you can get them in 2.5 increments) and it comes with 25 pilot jets.

It seems a lot of people have had problems with bottom end stumbles and hesitation when using the DJ kit and no lid. Mine and 03's run flawless from top to bottom. Do a search on jetting and you'll see.

You guys must not ride in snow much, I d do alot and cannot see having the lid of. I am going to try to cut up the lid and use an outerwear to cover i somehow any suggestions on that.

I dont ride snow but they do have a whole outerwear skin that fits over the top the airbox, acting like the lid but it's an outerwear,Not sure how good the airflow is though,But that's one idea..

no snow here but its definetly wet and sloppy...i have an ehs airbox cover..has the outerwear built into the lid. i've head that the velcro can come loose on the ones that just fit over the top of the box.
