You've never killed your bike on the line, on a tacky track, during a pile up, after wrecking, etc? Just remember that you won't have a chance to start your bike back up. There is no way I would flat track without a starting system. Drag wouldn't be bad because you really only have one shot and the only place you could kill it is the starting line.
Last Friday night I raced on indoor concrete. I drew first lane choice and was excited because I knew I would have a good chance. The flag dropped and I let off the clutch too fast and killed the engine. I just kicked my banshee over and took off. I made my way into third place. I had some great lap times so I got 4th lane choice in the feature. If I didn't have a way to start my bike, I would have had to pull off the track and hope for a good run in the consolation.
